i have to admit, i grabbed this skirt from BigBeautifulDoll just to show off TETRA's Purity panties. if they're not in your inventory, you are missing some high level design work.
i had a little trouble with Nata's unpacking HUD (it's got multiple "smart" links to unpack only the body style you want). problem was, no one told me it wasn't your ordinary run of the mill unpacking HUD so i stabbed it thinking i'd have a folder full of every model for every body style (which i generally weed through and toss).
well, wouldn't ya know it, i hit the wrong spot on the HUD, accepted the dialog (not reading it) and deleted the unpacker. didn't take me too much to realize i'd got the design for the wrong body. i thought they'd packaged it wrong. then i remembered, there wasn't any choice for which body i had when i purchased it. hmmm, let me restore the unpacker....
it was at that moment....
of course, having gotten the Maitreya design on, i could not stop staring at them. if you zoom in real close the lace texture looks unique and with depth and substance. the ribbon texture and bow, she's even got shadows on the seam threads. there doesn't seem to be any minutia missed. the level of intricate detail is astounding. and the mesh, it has delicate folding simulating just how real fabric would lay on the body. and if that's not enough, it moves as if it were real too. the weight painting on this is superb. she must have measured each vertex individually. best of the best bar none. i knew TETRA was good, but not this good.
nonetheless, that multiple link HUD bothered me. even after recognizing my mistake, i still thought other people would have the same problem as i did. how could this problem be solved? i'm sure some scripting genius might know.
so i asked the Scripting Forum.
if you read to the end of the post you'll see my practical solution with all the deficiencies managed. i won't post the script here, suffice it to say you'll find it on the marketplace in good time.
amazing what potential there is to interact and participate inside our little world. ya just have to get over your shyness. it doesn't hurt to speak your mind. what's the worst that could happen? hahahaha (yes, i've been there. don't ask.)
