reasons.
it all happened as a result of some "development" glitch. some odd misplaced bit decided to make my neck to head seam a glaringly woeful anomoly. yes, i have a full body texture by a high end professional skinner. it "was" fine and then one day, something unawares reverted my happy seamless life into one of sadness and frustrations. maybe i hadn't noticed it when my hair was long, but while looking for new hair i wandered about without any and boyo boyo boy, there was nothing i could do to revert to my earlier seamless look. how anyone can live like this i just don't know.
God bless those poor artists who've been able to deal with the pixel limitations and haphazardly arranged UV map the ancient map gives them. if you've ever seen what they have to deal with, your appreciation for just what they've produced would be admirable. having a seamless head to neck may obviate having no actual texture in those areas. those neck overlays (fixes) just don't work. so, instead of praying for a new skin my solution was to get a tattoo that completely obliterates the seam all together.
and it works.
of course, now that i've completely revolutionized my look, i'm gonna have to play the part. are there any regions that role play tatted-girls-with-a-soft-heart?
