since this is an old outfit (2011/12/10) i had to retrieve from the darkness of age befalling my Outfit folder you'd think i'd be able to post what makeup appliers i was wearing. not so my lovelies. i'm still working on conceiving of a way to carry over the complexity of variables the multitudinous landscape of eyes, brows, and blushes my slice of the world has available.

last thing i was working on was a HUD for my makeup chair (not yet ready for prime time) that contained the Catwa appliers i made to simulate what is commonly known in real world circles as eye makeup. as it is now, designers employ up to three segments (eye, brow, blush) for a single eye treatment. there is an Upper and Lower thingy on Catwa's HUD but i'm just now learning they may have some unimagined functionality. i'll see if i can get an eyeliner and shadow on with that method.

but no one, as far as i know, has considered the impossibility of recalling an outfit's applier combinations. you could save your head with the outfit, IF you have the appliers in your Catwa HUD, but i'm not adding hundreds of heads to my inventory each time i make a new outfit. it's SO frustrating! but, i digress.

making your own Catwa appliers should be a straightforward process. Bless Catwa for considering this feature. but it's a wild Hellish nightmare out there in the makeup marketplace. as an example, if i find some funky shadow i like, can i keep my brows with it? does it overwrite my blush? the only real way to tell is with a DEMO. and if it blows off a segment applier i don't remember, i'm lost to find it again. you can see why demoing makeups is not fun for me.

so, i'm gonna work on a solution that will revolutionize the world. whatever applier you have on, it will be registered by my system. if anything gets removed it can be returned with a click of the HUD. let's not count the days, i'm just experimenting with some available ideas. as it is now i'm manually writing the appliers in a notecard. i'm keeping a notecard for each outfit. formatting and reading the notecard with a script is the next adventure. wish me luck. there's got to be a better way....
